water question

I am using the great value water you can pick up at walmart. It says it is processed by reverse osmosis. Is this a good brand of water to use or do they put extra phosphates/nitrates that will cause an algae outbreak.

I have tested WalMart water from the two stores nearest to me. Using Salifert test kits they both tested 0 in phosphates and nitrates. I'm sure this may vary regionally, but I haven't had any problems whatsoever.

Yeah, it's the TDS that is most important here, imo. Ideally you are looking for 0 TDS. This will give you optimum water quality similar to what a home RO/DI unit will deliver. ;)

What size tank do you have? You may want to invest in a RO/DI unit. Just saying because with my 125 I figure it will pay for itself easily in a year not even considering the hassle. Just an idea.
