water temperature during water change

When I water change each week I use water that I have made, which has normally sat in 5 gallon containers and acclimated to room temperature. Then I add my salt and add the new water to my sump. Is room temperature water ok to directly add, or should I use a heater on the new water before adding to my sump?

Thanks,
Jeff

Water temp should be the same.

The real question you have to ask yourself is... How much of a water change are you doing and is it causing a drop in your main display?

If it is neglible then it really isn't an issue. If you are causing a noticeable drop then you are placing undue rapid stress on your environment.

1 degree I wouldn't be concerned with. 2 degrees I think is too much for a rapid change.

10 degrees...really really really bad.
