Water Testing

I spoke earlier in the week about my poor Clownfish (Toby) who died.

In which I think, like everyone said, it ended up being my hydrometer (its was READING 1.025, but in reality my LFS's refractometer was saying 1.030) curses to that hydrometer I was sold!

Went to the wrong store I guess. :(

Thanks again to everyone who helped me understand a little better what to do about this though.

Anyways, what I'm asking about is that the LFS told me to vring a sample of water in so he could do some tests of that too. Things is it had been sitting there for the better part of 2 days.

What can be said about the accuarcy of these tests after the water sitting for this period of time?

Continued thanks for everyones help!

Just so there is no dropping of jaws, I do have test kits for pH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. Two eyes CAN be better than one though.
