Wavebox or Stream?

I am in the planning stage of a 65RR. I already have three Seio 820's, but think I need more flow. Would I be better off getting a Wavebox or a Stream?
Thanks,
Steve

i dont think a wave box will work wel in a 65 because from what i have seen they work wonders in tanks with lenth, not saying you cant get movement but a small stream may give you better results in a smlaller tank.

agreed, you might ask this in the tunze forum, but from what i recall wavebox's work best in tanks 4' or longer. get a 6000 or 2 x 6000 and a multicontroller and you will be perfect.

Stream ...I have a wave box and I bought it from a guy with a 4ft tank. Hint

Works well in my 6ft tank but in a 4ft it may be hard to get what your looking for.

had a wave box in a 58 man that thing takes up a lot of realestate

was running 2 6100 and wavebox

now i run a 6100 but soon another 6100

i was getting a 1/2 inch wave in the 58

I think the minimum length to get a good wave is 4', I have it in my 100 and get about an inch and a half wave on the opposiste side and the dial is barely past the zero point so anything less probably won't be of much use I would go with streams on a single controller....

Stream is a good choice.... I have both in my 75... it is a 4ft tank and I get a little over 1" wave from the box.....

Tunze in a 65g?!

Are you able to adjust the flow on Tunze?

Would a Tunze be to much for a 50g (36"x18"x18")?

Right now I got 1 modd'ed MJ 400, 1 MJ 400 and 1 MJ 600

Well here is a qustion I have, could you put it into, say a sump and dial down the flow on the other end with a ball valve leading into the tank Kinda like a surging closed loop....

I could see that connection to the box outlet to the pvc could be challenging, and would need to you a larger diameter piping than normally used, to get the flow you need, but that could add adjustability and give back your real estate.

Kinda expensive to customize it though....

alright..... i'll stick with the MJ's

But the 6000's ,6060's,6080's and the new nano streams would be fine.

Thanks for the recommendations. I guess the wavebox is out since the tank is only 36" long. I will probably go with a 6000 on a controller, or if it is closer the smaller Tunzes. Thanks again for the help.

i have a 36x18x24 that is a 70 gallon oceanic "show" tank i use 2 tunze 6100's and the 7095 multi controller, my return is a mag-9 mucho random flow!!!!! all my sps have PE like they never had when i ran 4 maxi-jet 1200 on a wave strip. also i might add my temps dropped 3 degree after i took out all those hot a$$ powerheads from my tank. tunze are the wave of the future and i have seen the light....... no pun intended
