Wavebox settings

I have the 6212 wavebox and get a good wave (somewhere around 2") with the Tunze control set to the minimum time and the maximum power in my 4' tank (120cm x 80cm x 50cm). As these are both dials on the Tunze control, I do not know for certain what the settings are. It appears that the time duration is somewhere less than 1.5 sec.

I have tried to replicate these settings on my ProFilux control but I have not been able to achieve the same wave. I am using the following settings:
- 3v to 8v
- 0% to 100% short, right sided waves
- frequency - I've tried from 0.8 sec through to 2.0 sec

I just can't seem to match the harmonics; after a few minutes the resonance of the waves interferes and reduces the wave size. Is the Tunze controler putting through more power than the 3v to 8v?

Any thoughts?

power: I don`t think so, you can try a higher output voltage (e.g. 9V) to check this
Can you measure the Tunze output voltage?

another idea: Maybe the Tunze controller's minimum is higher?

the Ideal frequency for a 120gal is .6sec. I actually don't have it setup to go all the way down to 0%. Instead I have it go from 20% to 100% and then 90% at night.

Yes I know the Profilux will put out 10v but what isthe limit on the Pump?

Has any one tested it?
