Wavemakers

I'm looking at the different wavemakers available and I noticed this one. It is pretty afforfdable, and it comes with all the equipment, you don't have to buy all the jets seperatly. I've never used it but have heard some not so happy reports on it. I have been looking at a device used for DJ's for lighting etc that can operate 4 powerheads and is only $29 with shipping but you have to buy the power heads. With some easy mods its even better than out of the box. Do a search (for wavemaker and DJ) and you should find it. HTH

I've got a redsea wavemaker . No problems .

Are wavemakers noisy? I don't know much about the wavemaker concept....

The wavemaker itself is not noisy but you do get a little rattle when the power heads start up.

I have not tried it but there is a switching valve SWD or something like that - you might look into that I think they are quiet.

I have a Red Sea Wavemaker Pro running 3 MJ 1200s and my main pump mag 9.5. Only noise occurs when it starts back up after feeding. You can stop the noise of maxi's when they switch back on by taking the impeller out and super glueing the impeller blade section to the magnet.
