We had 7 more babies

born today. However, about an hour later two were missing. I left about 3 hours ago to pick up my camera and now there is only one, four more are gone. Do you think the peppermint shrimp are enjoying them. I noticed when they climbed on the sea fan the older seahorses made sure to leave. I am not finding any bodies in the tank. The tank is about 5 gallons and is filtered by a sponge filter. The clean-up crew is 1 turbo snail, 2 peppermint shrimp, 2 nassarius snails and 1 emerald crab (I have never seen it out of its hiding place. I can only see it's legs)

Shrimps and crabs are not safe with any seahorse fry. Most likely, yes, the peps or crab are enjoying a free meal.

I have seen one peppermint shrimp devour over 50 fry within an hour so my guess is yes also

Thank you. The peppermint shrimp have been moved into the reef tank. We'll continue spoiling the dwarf and look forward to danger free births in the future.
