weird birdsnest growth ??

I've looked at a few lol but mine is looking more like a thorn bush..thick base and sharp arms..look strange to you guys??

also any ID on those plants that came out of nowhere lol,growing like mad on one rock..and should I get rid of them ??

Looks like halimeda. I had it in my 150 for awhile and didnt really care for it so i just plucked it off the rocks. Hasnt been back since.

The birdsnest looks pretty healthy to me...and that is halimeda(money algae) its a calcium based algae, I would take it out if you can get it. It sucks up a ton of calcium.
