no, i dont have any pics because you cant take a pic of these clearly. i turned on my lighting this morning and for once just happend to look at the 90lbs of rock i have, and saw something kinda creepy. the rock had these tiny (maybe 1mm long) white opaque things crawling all over my rock looking for a hiding place. it looked like a bunch of cokroaches. they are tiny so no way to take a pic of them. what are they? are they harmful to my snails? to my live rock? a new thing i noticed this morning too is the appearance of the black shiny round algae.

please help...

thanks - chad

Sounds like a pod...

Dohe black shiny round things look like a bubble on your rock. If so and if your tank is cycled get a emerald crab. It sounds like bubble algae. If it is don't try to remove them in your tank. If they break they will spread like wildfire. Emerald crab is the only thing that eats them.

ok, good to hear, weird thing is the tank is doing very well, coraline every where etc, but i lost two big turbo/turban snails in two weeks. everything i test for pans out. my phosphates tend to be a little high but i have a reactor coming tomorrow for that.
