weird root looking thing!!!!!!

hi every one i have recently found somthing new in my tank i was excited at first but now conserned. :\ so i was wondering if any one could help. This thing looks like the roots of a plant right now it is no larger than a dime in length and no wider than a pencil. Their are curantly 5 of them they are pink,orange,and yellow. Also if any one can tell me how to take pics of my fish tank than i can post pictures of what it really looks like. My camera is a Sony Cyber-shot with 7.2-Megapixels. if anyone knows how to use this camera than please help i would greatly appreciate. well thanks for any help.

They are stuck to the glass and thay dont move.

Pictures might help alot.

Its hard to tell from descriptions, could be some type of worm, or something. But as thick as a pencil? Who knows, pictures would help us, to help you identify them.
