Weird Sponge ID

Recently noticed this sponge in my tank, it only appears on this one rock. I took a quick picture with my brothers camera so I did the best I could.

The color of it is yellow and the "fingers" that stick out are soft. I've gently poked it and it doesn't react at all.

I'd like to know if this is something I can let grow... or if I should remove from tank.

Please ID if you can. Thanks in advance!

Sponges are very difficult to ID. Most need to be dissolved and then examined under a microscope to be IDed, and even then, an ID isn't assured, as there are so many different species... and apparently so few people working on sponge taxonomy. I love knowing what is in my tank, too, but it is unlikely you are going to get anything close to a definitive ID on this one.
