wOOOOOOOt! I just made a 30 gallon sump....took about, well, 1 minute to seal the seams with weld-on! That was an hour ago and it looks NICE and I don't see any gaps...will do the water test tonight. I hear I need 8 hours to cure before trying?
The shop teacher did all the cuts and joints for 5 30-gallon sumps and 5 45-gallon tanks. I basically just have to clamp and weld. This is fun! . I need to figure out this whole euro-bracing stuff though. Is it just a brace that runs around the top on the inside in 4 pieces?
I used 1 1/4" strips to make my euro-bracing. I put the long piece on the top and the short piece on the inside, so that they would overlap in the corner. I can send pic if it helps.
Thanks Steve. I understand now. I'll be doing the bracings now.
Well...just water tested it and........wOOOOOOOt! NO leaks, unlike my first try 2 weeks ago where I used the wrong crap and had to re-seal it about 7 times, lol! And it even looks pretty ! YAY WELD-ON 3!!!!
