The Oregon state bird. Not an easy bird to get close to.

Then the most beautiful hawk showed up

colorful bird! Nice captures. Was the hawk stalking the medowlark?

I dont think so. Im pretty sure its an immature red tail. Theyre rodent eaters, which is consistant with the area we were in (cow pasture)
