Went to Sharky's on Sunday found these

Usually their prices/service is good enough that I dont even ask for a CMAS or RC discount. Stores see if you are nickel and diming them and possibly wont offer the same service next time.

I just heard that they do discount (sometimes significantly) depending on your club, or your purchase amount....IMO it's worth asking.

When you ask for the RC discount is about 10% but the prices at Sharky's are pretty good with good quality corals. Just ask and see what you can get.

So would you say that it'd be worth the trip from Wausau.?....the store looks amazing online!
I would go to Dr. F&S first. Not because it is better, I don't know. But Dr. F&S is a lot closer to you. I have been to Sharky's many times. But it can be hit or miss, just like any store where the inventory is constantly changing. Find out when they are expecting their shipments & plan your trip accordingly.

Good point prugs. Dr. Foeter and Smith have good coral selection in the website, but i have never been in the store.maybe I wiil make the trip in the summer for the frag swap and conference.

depends, I've never seen Dr's foster and smith.. :)

Sharkey's has a pretty good inventory of live goods and a decent selection of nice color morphs - but I have no idea on the selection that they have @ Dr F&S

Thanks for the frags Dominga. They are all doing good today with good polyp extension and color. The hydnophora gets nice and fat when I throw some Rod's Food in.

Been to F&S retail store about 1 time per month. No zoos at all, never. SOme decent LPS and SPS, but only 1 tan k, probably a 120gallon. They had clams and such in a shallow tank, now that's where they've got their LPS and various SPS. Not really too impressive IMO....thought sharkeys looked a lot bigger!?

Sharky's is a small store, but with good quality, nice set up and good view from top dow of the corals. I think the store just looks big in the pictures. I have been in different stores here in Milwaukee and they are huge in comparision with Sharky's, but the amount of corals does not get even close. One thing you will find at Sharky's is great variety of Zoas.
