I know some of our conversations here may have gotten off to a rough start, but I would really like it if from this point forward we could try to nurture this young group of people into the growing helpful community most of us are hoping for, and not incite flame wars and arguements. It is those types of things which push people away from forums like this and that would be against everything that we are trying to do here. Right now we have two groups of people here, and both want basically the same thing: to establish a community feeling to the reefers of northwest Indiana and provide ways for us to better communicate and help each other. Sorry for the high horse attitude, I did some bad mouthing too at first. I just want this to move forward now.

I agree big evil and i apologize for be so fanatical but what i believe. But it is so hard to get a point across on the web that is why i'm gald we are having this meeting on the 21st. I would like to restate that I am not in this to make from my business. Unless you are brand new and dont have a tank you will most likely not do business with me. But i will bring product to give away and auction off so that the club can get money so that we can do outings and things like that. pescadero if you have so much knowledge I would like to nominate you as to a member on the board. But I will have to say that you come off as a person to argue for the sake of argueing. But that is how i read your post which is why i believe this meeting on the 21st is really going to help. Again big evil i apologize if i ever offended you or gave some un wanted stress.

i'm not offended. there's always going to be some miscommunication, and there's always going to be a need to clarify things. we all need to be patient with one another to make good things happen.

WRT serving on a board, I want everyone to know that I am not campaigning to be any sort of officer. I'll gladly offer to contribute whatever experience that I have to any club that I join, but I am wary of serving in any official capacity unless the formal organizational structure of the entity would be properly established. Serving in any sort of official capacity exposes an officer to liability if the club is not set up right. In many respects, its much easier, and better for everyone, to keep things informal.

as far as the business thing goes, i thought you built and sold custom tanks. or was that someone else?

I didnt take any offense to anything seaoflife, I was just alittle too worked up myself. Like I said: I want this to work so I will do what it takes to try to make sure it does. I guess that makes me fanatical too.

fanatical isn't a bad thing. most successful people are fanatical and that's one of the reasons they're successful. the most successful people seem to find a way to temper their fanaticism so that they can keep everyone happy and working toward a common goal.

Bigevill, you've demonstrated some good leadership skills. If you're not careful we'll elect you to hold an office when you're not looking!
