Hey everyone!
I've had a 5 year hiatus from saltwater and we just got back from Kauai where I got the salt water bug. The ocean is infectious!!

I have my husband almost convinced to let me start something.... I'm reading and researching. I am going to start a Pico tank for now... corals and inverts. I've got my eye on a 6.4 gallon aquamaxx tank.

I lived in Burbank and had Go Fish and Aquatica right there and I loved them!
I live in Aurora now- and I've been out of the salt water world for a few years now.
I checked out Reefwise today.
I think there's a LFS in North Aurora and one in Glen ellyn...
anything else I should check out?

I'm hoping to get things started in the next month or so...I'm just excited to explore

Yep, just to echo what others have said. Go with an AIO unit. Innovative Marine, JBJ, Biocube, and plenty of others to choose from. A Pico tank is best for an advanced reefer or someone very limited in space. You'll be able to enjoy a lot more with a larger nano tank.

Thanks guys- It's nice to be back. I kept a 3 gallon for about a year before moving it up to a 30 gallon. I'm aware of the extra diligence that goes into it but thats why I don't want to keep anything too high maintenance.
My husband hates fish tanks (I don't understand it but I guess we can't all be perfect) so there is no way I would be able to convince him to do anything bigger, especially in our townhouse. Now when we buy a house.... that opens up a whole other world of possibility haha....
I'll check out Aquapro's! Thanks for the suggestion!

My problem with the AIO's is that everyone seems to upgrade everything about them. The IM Fusion 10 is a beautiful tank but people who "love" it- end up upgrading the lights and pump. So why spend $200 on the tank to upgrade everything on it?!

I have a friend who is in an Apt who went fro. A 29tall to a 40b and now has a 75reef ready stand and canopy and is the happiest person with the 75. I told him he should have gone the 75 route from the beginning.

Theres sooo much better fish to have than nano fish. And corals? Get crowded in there

Hey. Welcome back
