dos anyone use silica sand for there FOWLR tanks? is it ok to use with a wrasse? i dont realy mind if it causes algea growth is that the only real concern sence its a FOWLR?
and i know wetdrys on saltwater arent usualy good but iam makeing the rock for this tank(i have 10-20lbs of live rock to seed it with though)and iam more iterested in looks than filteration so most of the rock will be quite dense without mutch porositey, so would a wetdry be a good idea or just give the man made rock some time to grow some bacteria? or mabie use a wetdry for a wile then take it off after afew months? iam going to have a fuge with macro algea ect and plan on haveing some algea in the main tank to if it makes a diffrence, iam also going to make a coil denitrator(SP?)to help furthurer deduce nitrate.
