Wetmorella and flatworms.

Just a quick question, wanting to add a wetmorella wrasse and just wondering what they are like/or if they will eat flatworm. Don't really have a problem with them and i want the fish anyway but a friend has a little nano with flatties and wanted to borrow it first before i put it in my tank.

TIA

Since you want it anyway, I'd go ahead and get it. Many of the FW eaters never touch them, so if you want to lend him to your friend, that's your choice (if he has no other fish, you could have him keep it for 6 weeks and count that as your quarantine).

Its already all been qt and i have it in a connected tank i use for acclimation and feeding up new fish, so technically its already here. If they aren't known for picking at flatties i'd sooner just not stress it and let it straight into my own tank.
I'd rather just dip his corals and rocks as its only a small tank and not really suitable for fish long term.

In that case, I agree with you; I'd keep him rather than add the extra stress and transfer (if he's got fish that are in there, you'd have to re-quarantine anyway). Since it's a nano, have him use Flatworm Exit. It's more reliable than any fish.

I have a possum wrasse. When I had a few FW on a new green mille frag it picked at them. I wouldn't say it will cure your problem, but it might eat some.

Luckily i don't have a problem with them. Looked really hard today during a water change and only managed to find 4 on a single mushroom. I'm sure there are more but i tend to syphon them when i see them and qt and dip everything before its added.
My poor mate however is really suffering but if they aren't a sure thing i don't think i will put the fish through capture and tank moves.
