Brook? Uronema? Some kind of fungal infection?

Have had this guy for four days in QT with pearl scale, lawnmower blenny, and cardinal. He started showing signs of this two days ago. Started out as a white patch and seems to be getting worse. Have him in a formalin bath right now and have them going through TTM. So far have treated with formalin and prazi. Thinking i'm going to treat all the fish with a formalin bath for 50 mins between each TTM. Any advise on what this is and how to treat?

I'd definitely stop the formalin baths. You don't want to use formalin on a fish with open wounds. I'd treat with kanaplex and metroplex and hope for the best.

I would start with an acriflavine bath, it’s a good antiseptic. I would then move on to the antibiotics. Add in furan 2 as well. That should cover a very wide spectrum.

just used the furan-2 on a butterfly cleared him right up had white type of fungus all over him. used it in qt at about 6 weeks he got the stuff all over him, he is in the display now fine.

agree with all above. Stop formalin and do acriflavine bath for 60-90 min and then furan2, metroplex and kanaplex cocktail for min 10 days.

This does look like a bacterial infection however from the pics it also looks like it might be a raised is the spot raised as in "like a bump"

Thanks for all the replies. It's not a raised bump. At first I was thinking it might have been the start of lympho, but it's more of a white spot that just kept getting bigger. Now it looks as though it's a little raw too.

Will stop the formalin dips. Ordered some paraguard and Furan 2. Will be here friday. Unfortunately, I don't have anything for bacterial infections at the moment. I do have prazi, but that doesn't treat bacterial infections. He is already in QT going through tank transfers with the other fish. Just going to treat everyone with the furan 2. Will only treat the infected butterfly with the paraguard dips in between tank transfers.
