What Anemone Would be Best Under This Lighting?

I have two Tomato Clowns and am preparing to add an Anemone for them in the future(Months and months away). I'm thinking of purchasing a Nova Extreme T-5 Fixture(4 x 24 Watts) for my 29G tank. What would do best under this lighting and be hostable?

I have that fixture.. i was under the impress you couldn't get any kind of anemone that will thrive in it.. but i'll follow along cos i'm curious as well..

I don't see why you couldn't keep any anem you wanted under that lighting... Or anything else for that matter.

Rkelman becyause the t5s in the nova do not have individual reflectors...

Midus i think with that fixture a bubble tip anemone would do very well

if you are able to afford something better like a t5 with individual reflectors you can be sure you have plenty of light

check out the aquatinics tx5 fixtrures

You can also get individual reflectors for the Nova Extreme you plan to get . You should be able to put a LTA or BTA under that light .

Since a tomato clowns live almost exclusively in BTAs in nature and BTAs are one of the easier anemones to keep, that would be a good choice.

Aren't 29 gal tanks 30" long? I don't think they make a 30" Nova Extreme fixture.

phender- they don't make a 30" nova extreme fixture. i had to use a 36" to which i don't mind.

Dawman- nova extremes are not able to have the individual reflectors. I asked that question after i got it.. which was a mistake!

onecrzyboi4u,
I think what Dawman meant was doing some DIY mods to the light. I am sure the manufacturer is not willing to sell it with individual reflectors but most lights are easily taken apart and modified.

I would also go with a BTA in your tank. Good luck.

Many people buy the Nova Extreme lights and put Ice Cap T-5 individual reflectors on .

Is there pics of people who have down this..?

Not sure , I imagine someone does . Check in the lighting section . I don`t as I don`t use T-5s .

Reefgeek.com sells the Icecap reflectors. As for the anemone, Midus, although it may do fine under what you have, I don't think it would be advisable. You'll have a much better chance of success with individual reflector T-5s as a minimum. Also, give a lot of thought as to whether or not you really want an anemone. On average, they still do very poorly in this hobby. I believe the 3 year survival rate is somewhere around 20% or less. Clownfish will do just fine without a host anemone. Also, if you plan on keeping corals, be prepared to either move them at a moments notice or lose one or two prized corals to anemone stings. I'm not saying it will happen, but it's something you'll want to be prepared for.
