So, the 28th was my birthday! You no , kids want a foot ball, or a go cart or a ..xbox. So i wanted a sunpod for my tank. :D I got a 150 MH 14k, and i have it over my 29g Bio cube. I was wondering what anemones would grow realy well under the lighting?. I wanted to get something pretty cool. Any help/ideas, would be appreciated.

BTA's are supposedly one of the hardier anemone's to keep. From what I've read all species of carpets are the more difficult animals to keep in your tank. But what do I know, I'm just a newbie! =)

Ive had my S. haddoni under a 150w 14k for about 1.5 years. For the last 6 months Ive had it under XM 15k. I would only get a carpet if your tank is mature enough and if you are going to use this tank just for a clown pair and the carpet. I had mine in a 55g for 1.5 years before I moved it into my 125g. While it was in the 55g it got pretty big pretty fast. I ended up losing some fish due to the lack of space. I also have a GBTA. They both should do fine under the lighting you have.

I would agree that a green haddoni would work under a 150 but I don't think it would work for a 29. haddoni get really big and can quickly outgrow a 29.

Wow, Thanks for all the posts! I'm sorry i feel dumb. Whats an S. haddoni ? im trying to get all my research done before i get one. Now, would a condy ( i assume those are LTA right?) would those work? I'm looking for something that adds color and is pretty to the tank. Thanks again for all the help

No condys they are atlantic species not for clownfish hosting.

Also condi are not LTA. LTA is M. Dorensis

S. Haddoni is a carpet anemone.

Research can go a long way, saving you money and frustration.

If you get an anemone, make sure you have a tank that is going steady for about 6 months or more with stable water parameters.
Also, a lot of it is just knowing how to spot a healthy one to begin with. Be picky, because anemones are not hardy and your odds are much better if you get one that is healthy.
