what are my fish limitations with my setup.

I am in the process of setting up a new reef tank and was wondering if there would be any limitations on fishes I can/can not keep due to the fact I plan on having a reef along with the size of the tank. The tank is roughly 90gallons with the dimensions of 60x16x24. Thanks

with reef i would watch most larger angels and the dwarfs are kind of a russian roulette deal. smaller tangs would be fine as well as any of the fairy/flasher wrasse. as with most people i would start with a pair of clowns, something other than maroon and then post a few ideas of fish that interest you. we can go off that list and say yea or nay and give you more suitable suggestions if something you like may not work in the tank. :)

I have 2 O. Clowns, a clarki, and a blenny that will be moving up to the new tank. I really love the tangs and would like a purple tang or a yellow or blue or an achilles tang. I have also been thinking about a 6 line or fairy wrasses. Also maybe a bartlett anthia. Are these good choices? Any other suggestions?

Edit - A purple tang would just about be ok imo. An achilles is totally out of the question for that size tank. 6 lines can be very aggro. Not worth the risk imo

achilles are much more delicate than the yellow or purple. I would stick with ones that size just because they won't the same size as the blue hippo tangs. Also I went without the anthias because i heard their feeding requirements are somtimes harder than most and with the difficult corals i have i dont want to bother about a fish that is not the easiest possible thing haha. 6 line are very good fish to have around eating nuisance worms and what have you. Be very careful about the fairy wrasse though because they can and will jump so having a tank that is covered is your best option. I just had a tonos fairy wrasse take a leap and have since not gone down that road.

And if you are considering fairy and flasher wrasses, don't get the sixline as they are incompatible in the long run. And be sure you cover your tank with mesh not egg crate. Firefish and wrasses jump.
