What are the odds?

What are the odds that my GSM that has been with her BTA will be "happy" without her anenome?
They have been together for 2 years now and she absolutely loves him. He has not settled down in this small tank and I am debating whether to find a new home for the BTA or the GSM and BTA together, I love them both, but the BTA moving around is stressing me out! If I rehome the BTA I worry that the GSM will stress herself to death.
Any thoughts?

It should be okay to remove the BTA and keep the clown. She will find another favorite spot quickly. What else do you have in the tank, any other soft corals? I have had clowns host in the sand bed, SPS, LPS, softies, mushrooms, ect. If the BTA is not doing well for whatever reason, try a large frilly mushroom. If you want, put a small clay flower pot on its side, she will host in it.

Well, with almost any clown I would say yes to the above statement. However, maroons can be very teritorial and make a strong bond with their anem. If you do so, watch her behaviour. She may be a bull without a pen when you take her anem out. In other words, make sure she doesn't start knocking things over, harrassing other fish, corals, etc.
