What are these called

What are these corals called. I have just set up a 50lt nano tank. Got 3 Mexican red leg hermits and these 2 corals. Help please.

the corals are hammer corals, genus euphylia.

from what i see they seem to be the branching type rather than the walling type.

they are fine if they touch other hammers corals or frogspawn corals.

you won't need to feed these corals directly, especially in a new tank.

they should be ok with minor parameter swings, and will give new tanks nice movement, good luck!

2 weeks? I would put the brakes on a bit bud, let the tank cycle a bit make sure it's stable before adding corals, even with adding a bacterial booster it takes time for bacteria to establish and colonize.

remember: the only thing that happens fast in marine tanks are mistakes and disasters.

Patience really is needed in this hobby or you wind up throwing a lot of money away.
 
good luck with these and your new tank! Most often you will see a follow up post why are my lps dying.... and they post a picture of a tank like yours, brand new sand and rocks etc, Id start off with some hardy softies and once your tank starts growing coralline then add some stonys
 
With anything in life I would suggest knowing what you are buying BEFORE you purchase it not after so that you know its care requirements,etc...
