What are these critters?

Finding a ton of these in my tank. They look like starfish but I just need to be sure they are safe.

Those are asteria starfish, get rid of it if u can before they multiply to uncontrollable numbers..

Yep..Asterina starfish..They are harmless in most cases and only go after dying flesh..
They can reproduce quickly and be all over..

Besides a harlequin shrimp is there any other way to be rid of them? They are all over the frag part of my tank but I don't see as many in the display part.

I have thousands in my tank.. They never cause a problem and are beneficial..
There is no need to remove them..


Besides a Harlequin (which would likely need to be remove after it chomps its way through the available supply or it will starve) your only other option really is manual removal..
