What are these patches of dark brown stuff around my zoa?

Could anyone please tell me what is this dark brown stuff all around my zoa frag? Here is the pic below. Sorry it is slightly blurry.

In another location I found some small rocks that had a patch of very fine, short brown fuzz on it. Of course I tossed it out. This may be the same stuff minus the brown fuzz yet. If anyone has pics of similar fuzz/fungus, please post them. That may help identify this fungus or parasite. Any recommended treatments to kill this stuff? I tried dipping this frag in Revive for 15 min yet it only helped stunt the growth of the brown patches. I have some Coral Rx dip on the way via mail that I will try with the frag.

I'm assuming it's around the polyps, not in them.

I would try first hydrogen peroxide.
About 25% of hydrogen peroxide for 75% tank water for less than a minute to start with.
That should solve your problem along with a nutrient control.
You could try do a water change to help a bit. Keep skimmer running!
