What are you supplementing your nano's with?

What is kalk? Someting tells me it isn't that stuff that comes out of the home depot guns and it shouldn't be able to seal up a window. I've read alot about kalk but what exactly is it?

What about iodine, magnesium, strontium, etc? Do you think they are necessary

Usually these levels will stay ok if you are doing regular water changes.

I dose a couple drops of coral-vite every week after I do my 20% water change. Seems to work fine for me.

My tanks have always had big evaporation issues; usually a couple gallons a day, alot for a nano tank. I usually use distilled water to top it off, but should i befirst mixing in supplements into the distilled water? I was told at my LFS that when my water evaporates it leaves behin the salt and minerals, so i shouldn't need to add more salt or supplements to the water when topping off. ???

No, just use fresh top off water only - or kalk water in an automatic top off setup. You'd only add salt if you want to raise your salinity if it's too low and you would do that gradually, over a few days or a week.
