What can I use for filter sock?

Do I have to buy premade, or is there something more disposable and cheaper?

They seem to be hard to find and quite pricey for something that needs to be replaced often.

Was wondering if there was a substitute.

Thanks

Mine last forever. Just throw them in the washer and use cold water. I do one complete cycle (no soap, nothing but the water) and then turn them inside out and run them once again.

I've read not to use hot water if you have the plastic collars, however, the cold water works fine.

They come out looking great.

Thanks, will try to make my own before I buy any. Where I normally buy from does not seem to sell them to place on a large order, can't find them locally and can't see paying a ton of shipping for something so small. For something everyone seems to use they seem a bit hard to find.

i just turn mine inside out and throw it in the washer short cycle with hot water, no need to wash it , then wash it again inside out
