Can someone tell me what kind of coral I should get for my 30 gallon saltwater tank? I currently have 2 nemos, and i think having some coral will be good for them.....am i right?

do you have any other coral? if not get a carpet anenome. I like them alot. If you have other coral allready, then get a frogspawn. they will love it

clownfish don't need corals. They might "host" in some of the LPS corals, such as hammer or frogspawn, but by no means do they need them. You should consider a begginers coral, such as a mushroom.

Mushrooms are good beginner coral. My clownfish hosts a mushroom I have had for over 3 years. Pic in my gallery.

Before going off and buying corals for your "nemos" make sure your tank meets all the requirements. :)

I'd think you should research Colt's and Xenia's..I've had my clowns host in both.
If you have the right lighting and can care for them, the long tentacle anemone is also usually good...
Basically anything with tentacles seems to work with mine.

First things first guys.... How old is your tank, what are your parameters, and what is your lighting over your 30 gallon?

BTA is good. how old is ur tank.

He's only been in the hobby for 6 months. Presuming that his light meet the requirments, a bta is the only nem that should be considdered for a 30g tank.

Maybe a nice Yellow Toadstool Leather with good Polyp extension. They are a good beginner coral. Clowns might host in it. I would if I were a clown. Fish that is. I would love to host in mine. But alas my Clowns do not think it is very inviting. Dumb clowns. Just kidding I love my fish.

Currenting: I don`t think it`s wise to get a anenome, with 1/2 years EX. You did not ask what kind of lighting or proteinskming or any thing at ALL! Anenomes can live in the wild for 100`s of years. Twinspanda on your 30 gal. tank what kind of lighting do you have? proteinskimmer, water test`s, and so on De-TAILS ? p. s. thank you Andrew- right bassettmd. FIRST THING`S FIRST!!!

ive kept an anenome in one of those stupid 12gal eclipse tanks under that lighting with no protien skimming...and im pretty sure its the same type of anenome

Have you tested your water parameters to make sure they are stable? And what kind of corals you should get would depend on your lighting, as well as some other factors. I wouldn't do a anemone right away. They can be troublesome. Try xenia, or frogspawn, mushrooms or zoanthids and see how they do for awhile. If you get an anemone and it doesn't like your tank conditions, it can wander around and sting other corals, or die and leech things into your water.
