What could be kept under an 18w light?

I decided not to spend more money on a new coralife fixture and stuck with the stock 18w light. What would do well under this?

fish and maybe a mushroom, but that is not even 2 watts per gallon, you need 2-3 watts a gallon for fish and so on up. i would suggest upgrading.

Nope the most wattage you can get out of an 18w fixture is just that 18w. You'll need a different fixture in order to get higher lighting. I would definitely also reccomend with going with something more powerful. 18w is barely enough to keep anything in a 10g imo...

i currenly only have 3 w/G and i have blue chromis, Kenya tree, mushrooms, zoas, a leather, and a hammer, and a mass of GSP growing by the minute..i am not saying it is a good idea though, and hence my newest purchase..but those will live under atleast 3 w/g...not sure about 2 w/g though..

next week i get the 150 MH though...and everything including myself will be much happier..

but i would definately look on that website where you can buy and sell auction items to find a relataively cheap lighting fixture that would keep you happy..i just thiss week saw a 70 w MH system going for 50 bucks...just keep your eyes open for a good deal..

well, i dont think any corals would really thrive in such a poorly lit tank. i had to sell my planted freshwater set up to get the AP w/70W MH. didnt want the stock AP w/ PC's which was about 150 cheaper. imo, i dont think that stock PC hood was enough.

you could do a couple shrimp and a small fish or two. look at watchman goby, citron goby and other related gobies, ocellarus clown, dottybacks, small fish like that.

I removed the 18 w pc from my 5.5 because it wasn't enough light for corals.

BTW, fish don't care how much light you have as long as you have day/night cycles.
