What do I need to treat for?

I had a bad Ich outbreak about 5 weeks ago, and I tried to do Hyposalinity in my display tank, but it appears to not be working. I want to be done with this mess once and for all. My coral beauty hasn't eaten in 10 days and likely isn't going to make it much longer (i've tried different live foods, garlic, and about 6 different kinds of fish food, with no luck). My foxface seems to have a weird mark on him that i noticed yesterday... It could be nothing, but i'm sick of worrying about disease in my tank.

It's been about 2 months since i added a fish. For the sake of this thread, let's assume the foxface bite turns out to be nothing. Other than Ich, what else do I need to worry about? I assume Velvet would have struck by now. Is there anything other than Ich that could be lurking unnoticed and waiting to strike that I need to treat for? Or, after 2 months am I safe to assume that Ich is the only think i need to worry about?

the most-serious stuff like velvet and brook would have shown by now, as you thought as well.

other than ich, it is easy enough to treat for flukes as well (using PraziPro). that is it, IMO.

to be "done with it", your best course is to remove ALL your fish and do TTM, then house them in an isolated tank while you run your DT fallow for 72 days. never share your DT water with any of the HT/QT tanks.

snap a photo of the foxface if he allows it. hopefully your CB makes it, they are pretty hardy at least but obviously needs to eat.

Hyposalinity is often finicky. I never had any fish stop eating during it though. Have you kept an eye on Alkalinity during it?

My first thought, and its not even a very educated guess, an abrasion or injury that has gotten an infection because of the stress and weakened state of your fish.

Soooo sorry you are in this boat. I made my first TTM transfer this morning after introducing ich to my DT. I thought about it for 48 hours and decided to bite the bullet and kill with TTM and 72 day fallow. So far, so good. Its a daunting long road that I see ahead, but its got to be done. (IMHO)

Thanks people. So I'm thinking TTM, then a round of Prazipro just to be safe. The DT has to sit for a couple months anyway, so time is something i'll have.

Yeah i'm thinking it's a possible abrasion or something as well. None of the other fish are showing signs of stress in the slightest... The foxface is still very active and eating like a pig.

re: PraziPro; best administration is to do two doses, 5-7 days apart. this will kill the hatchlings that were eggs when the first dose was added (PP won't kill the eggs).
