what do u think of the new refugium light fro BML lights

i was think of this for chaeto anyone use it yet?

Get a PAR38 LED bulb from Lowes / Homedepot and then get a clip on housing. Cheap and grows my chaeto very well with little to no heat.

thats probably good advice, but my filtration is going to b centered around the chaeto. im really looking for somthing ideal.

anyone have this light or think it will grow it fast?

I understand and my system is the same way. I switched from a duel T5 setup to the PAR38 LED floodlight bulb from Lowes with the clip on housing and i can not notice a growth issue. I still clip every week or 2

so the dual t5 was alot stronger then the par38? and u thought the growth was just as good with the par38?

iv never grown chaeto bfore so im not sure wuts best. i just thought the BML fuge light was designed specificaly for the algae. or i guess it may b all hype

I'm sure the BML will do just fine. Cheato doesnt take much to grow so most lights will work for it. I just prefered the PAR38 because Lowes is right up the road and I've seen others use it with success. I do not have a display fuge so looks werent as important to me so i just got a clip on. Im sure you can get a hanging fixture and it will look good.

looks arent important to me. my whole setup is ghetto rigged. i just want to grow the cheato as fast as possible
