What do you call this disease/irritation/something?

I have a sunset montipora frag that is lightening on the top. It's like the flesh is turning white - I don't see skeleton - but the flesh itself turns white.

What might cause this? What do you call this?

What do you call this disease/irritation/something?

+1 to bleaching. I'm not a coral expert but in short it means the conditions aren't right for that coral.. Whether it means too much light, too little, not enough nutrient, rapid exposure to something... Etc

Ah, so bleaching. I thought that usually also included loss of flesh. Never too old to learn something..
