What Do You Think Of This Skimmer For A 215

On a tank that size, I don't think it's going to cut it if you get serious in stocking. I'd look at the Bubble King, which seems to be "the" skimmer these days.

I like my Octopus, they make a pretty serious one with 3 recircs on it. :rawk:

I am running an ASM G4-X(modded to be a re-circ style) on my 120gallon it does the job really good, still could be better though. When I upgrade for this tank it will be either Warner Marine K-2 or MSX 250, I may try the Vertex cone skimmers too, just not sure if that brand is still having pump issues.
I don't think the G4 will be enough either if stocking is heavy. Turbonegro has a Reeflo 250 on his 400+ gallon system. There really are many choices here, just make sure it will fit in your stand if that is how you are doing it, your not using a different location for the sump are you?

I'd go with a re-circ......check out

finsreef.com and search the H & S A200-1260. That will handle your system.

The Bermuda skimmers are nice as well but you need to get a pump for them, or if tour return pump is big enough you can plumb it from there.

Sorry, the old one i posted wont fit, this one should.

This is the one i want.

Honestly, I don't think that's going to cut it. I have the NW-150, although not the dual recirc, but I don't think it's going to handle 215 + sump. It's the exact same body (6"x28") and I don't think thats enough volume. Basically you should take 50% of the mfr rating and go from there, so you are looking at a skimmer that can handle around 450 gals.
