hello all.
so I have a 65 G, connected to a 40 G sump which is connected to a 25 G seahorse tank.
the system is on Zeo, the seahorse tank has a 6 " DSB, and there is also a Fuge in the sump with another 6" DSB, and cheato on top.
now, everything is fine, and parameters are good, BUT, when I first set up the seahorse tank, I wanted to make it planted so dropped alot of algea in there :S (grape algera, hamildia, .... ) and now they are all growing all over that tank ( no where else just there) and I see roots in the sand bed !
would it be wise to empty the 25 tonight ? do a 25 G water change, and just empty the whole tank, and the sand, and replace it with a new shallow sand bed ? since the system is on zeo and another DSB is there, I dont think it would raise the parameters by much and just remove all the algea ferom that tank right ?
is scraping the tank glass enough to be sure I got all the algea out ?
any Ideas/opinions are welcome and appreciated.
