what do you think?

IF I wanted to make a 30 gallon tank into the craziest pod growing tank...what do you think I should do? Normal light cycle with plenty of food and a 5 gallon water change daily? Should I have macro's growing in there too? I shouldn't need much of a filter or a skimmer if that's all I'm doing, right?

Live rock and sand.
Macro's.
Lots of food.
Romantic music.
Daily water changes.

Yeah?

My 20 gallon pod farm had:

access to some direct sunlight (2-4 hours a day filtered)
lots of places for pods to go (old filter pads, macroalgae, live rock rubble)
regular light cycle from flourescent fixture
airstone bubble wall for circulation

I didn't do water changes nearly that often. It was more like..erm..when I thought about it. I didn't have a heater or skimmer and no circulation besides the airstone. I fed the tank green phyto a few times a week.

Pods multiplied like crazy. Pods really are quite durable once you get them started.

OK that's cool to know. I'm just thinking ahead to next school year. Instead of the same old fund raisers, I think we can sell different things online if I can get approval from the great Wizard Of Bookkeeping.

We have red macro's growing like crazy, a tank full of spaghetti worms (maybe hair worms..forget which...they brown ones in the substrate), tanks full of little starfish, etc. If I can get approval, I'd like to let our club sell chaeto or other macro plus make sure it has lots of pods, worms etc. I'm just trying to think this through.

This next year could really be something special...could be.

Thanks Angel.
