Mine is well.. My name is Christie. People in middle school for some reason thought it'd be fun to call me Chris. When the internet was invented there's some jerk out there who ended up taking a lot of the Christie names so I invented Chrisstie because I am so clever.
I have been told its a porn star name and sort of get a giggle out of that.
The closest I'll get is when my mom tells someone "Christie does aquariums" .. She has no idea what she says sounds like sometimes! ;p

MeNoNemo: Just trying to make a statement about the number of false percs (and other fish) sold to people not really setup to house them. I hate to think of all the poor fish that died so someone could have a "dory" and a "nemo" in a 10 gallon setup
I saw a guy walking out of a store with a 10 gallon, an Emperor filter, a bag of salt, a false perc, a hippo tang and a yellow tang. How sad!

did you pull out a gun and threaten his life if he didnt take it all back?!?!?!?!?!? I had a fir the other day when MY LOCAL FLS was telling someone that they could have a queen angelfish in a 20 gallon high. He also said that you should never QT sick fish and just medicate the whole DT corals and all.......i hate that place. Thank you Marcye for wholing me that there is some sophisicated stores out there with people who know what they are tlaking about...lol

You know I really have to hand it to the Waterford Lakes Petland, though. I still don't quite agree with the horrible awful smell that greets you when you walk in which is due to the not-saltwater critters...
But since a few of the local reefers I know started working there the lighting system has changed, the water quality looks better and they have some kinda sorta okay stuff there and I think they can encourage folks to err on the side of caution when putting a Dory inna 10g tank
It isn't often you get a chance to say something positive about a not so great situation like that and it is even less often we have an opportunity to do what we can to encourage a business to care about the product it sells.
So cheers for positive change, and whoever gives such horrible advice like the examples above should a) be better educated or plan b) drug into the street and shot. You know, in a good way or something. Maybe tased, thats nonlethal.
