What fish is this?

It looks to me to possibly be a Candy Basslet (Liopropoma carmabi) but I could be mistaken.

The candy bass is a very rare deepwater fish found in the caribbean and they command very high prices. I've never personally seen one for sale and have heard most of the specemins collected end up in the Japanese market.

Addtional to the price they often don't do well in our mostley extreme lighty tanks.

Besides that they are very interessting fish. I keep / kept L.rubre, L.swalesi and L.carmabi and all are modell fish, but shy

I have seen the fish on sales several times on Japanese websites. It seems that all the cool speciments end up in Japan.

Not the same species, but very similar. I'll keep my eye out and if I see the other one for sale I'll post it for ya.
