Well now that my tank is pretty full with coral im looking to get a couple fish. I know im going to get a target manarin but i want to get another fish. Thats it only two in the tank max. I want to get something kind of exotic or that is pretty bright in color. I tried a flame but that didnt work out so idk about angels anyways in this size tank.

What do you guys think??? for my 24g Aquapod???

Its an open top so no possible jumpers!

Thanks
Randall

wrasse tend to jump also, as do hawkfish, tilefish, firefish. A lot of fish jump so do your research, I was trying to find exactly what you are trying to find for my 10 and I never came up with anything.
It's tough, but I did consider a little clown goby they are cheap tiny and colorful and I doubt they would jump, you could do a yellow and a green together maybe.

6 line wrasse would be good I think.

I've had mine for almost 2 years in an open top, and he's still doing great!

Fun to watch, not too shy and super colorful!

I also have always liked the purple firefish, but I do believe those are jumpers.

thanks for all of the ideas. I was thinking along the lines of a bicolor blennie (i know they jump too) but fish only tend to jump when they arent happy in a system...other than just jumpy fish.

I really like the idea of a flasher wrasse so im going to look into that for sure. Still need to research them though. What are some pretty cool wrasses??? I really like the yellow "coris" wrasse that is half white on the bottom but they seem like they are harder to find. But flasher wrasses are gorgeous and i would love to get one!

Thanks and keep em comin........O YEA BUY MY DANG CORAL PPL!!!! lol jk

I had a spotted hawk fish (Atlantic) that was very cool, but man did he love my shrimp, and hermit craps, and Lettuce Nudibranchs. So don't get that type hehe

I have had a lipstick blennie in my opentop tank for about 2 years now. He is a percher, and I like the way he looks and acts.

I have read that those little clown gobies are sps munchers.

Flashers and Fairy wrasses are jumpers. I can't count the number of times I have had to pull one out of my overflow and thats with a full canopy. Before I added the doors I had one land 6' out from the tank ( I was sitting there watching the tank when it happened). Also they kind of like a little more swimming room.

If its just a mandrin and another fish there are some really cool looking Damsels. Its kind of hard to be aggressive when there is noboby else in the tank, plus if it did take a flying leap they aren't that expencive.

look into the Neon Dottyback - Pseudochromis aldabraensis, Orchid Dottyback - Pseudochromis fridmani, Sunrise Dottyback - Pseudochromis flavivertix, Yellow Assesor - Assessor flavissimus, Blue Assesor - Assesor macneilli, Banggai Cardinalfish - Pterapogon kauderni

I've also had my bi-color blenny in the open top for over a year. He stays mid to lower tank.

Cool fish with a lot of personality, just not so colorful. Murf has a big bi-color to I think, not sure exactly how big they get.
