what if we added this to the t-shirts?

when i was looking at the look of the shirts i was thinking they were going to be just shirts for the members to ware at meetings or @ a event, until jay & scarson mentioned it being a good way to start a conversation with those that are not in the hobby, with the hopes of getting more people into starting a reef tank, that was a great plan, so i took another look at the shirt, i was thinking if i was a every day person on the street & seen this shirt on some one i would look @ it wonder what it ment, think it was a novelty shirt & go on with my day, almost like this, if you see a person waring a shirt that says i lost 50lb, i would think they got the shirt for meeting there goal, i would wonder how they did it but i wouldnt ask, (UNLESS) it said i lost 50lb ask me how, then that would break the ice & let me know they were proud of what they did & they want to get the word out that you could do this to, i would go up and ask, so what if our shirts said i glue animals to rocks (ASK ME HOW) with the pic being on the back where other shirts do there advertising, & put the logo on the front, how do yall think that would look?

I think you're right from the standpoint of getting people to ask you more about it and probably in the longrun getting more people involved in the hobby and ultimatley in our club.

I appreciate your idea Tina, but I also want a shirt that everybody (or most everybody at least) will like. Frankly I really don't want a shirt that says "ask me!" on it. Reminds me too much about those bumper stickers "ask me how I ---insert your own sales pitch here---.

But I may certainly be overruled by the masses.

ok ok fine!!! dont beat around the bush just tell me what ya think, i just thought i would throw it out there, some times when you get a thought in the middle of the night, it doesnt sound as good the next morning,

Hey, I actually agree and thought it WAS a good idea. Maybe it's because I'm still new to the hobby, but I like being asked about it, and answering the questions that I'm able to, and directing people here and to WTRMAC, as well as Kermit's, when I don't know. :hmm2:
