What in the world is this ugly thing growing on my live rock. The first photo is a couple months ago. The “thing†is coughing up a fir ball in the second photo.
i think its a scyphon sponge species. i think its fantastic when unknown creatures surprise us by popping up in our systems. and in this case, i think we can say for sure its reef safe!
