What Inverts to Go with...

Alright, I am looking to put some Inverts in the Tank besides what I have. I want some opinions. I have already in my tank 4 Peppermint Shrimp and 2 Emerald crabs. I never really see the emeralds and the Peppermints I am not 100% satisfied with. I want more. The tank is only 17G with 2 Black Ocellaris Clowns and a Pygmy Angel(sm). I would like something that will be out ofter and stand out... I would like a Sea Urchin, I just never have done one in a Reef tank. Are they Truly Good or bad for Reef, I also thought about a Serpent star But Ive been told not to do them. Give me some Ideas everyone. Thank you!

i woudl say no to the urchin. the urchin will bulldoz stuff aroud cause ur tank is not that big. on the same note it will starve in that size tank over time

how about a pistol and a blenny??

did you mean a pistol shrimp and a goby? that would be a good addition, IMO.

my pair of scarlet skunk cleaners are always out and about, they're pretty little things too. I always keep serpent/brittle stars in my tanks; just avoid the green/yellow ones. in my 20 I have a large red serpent and a small harlequin, and in my 29 I have a small red brittle.

At 17 gallons your tank is way too small for what you have in it. The angel and clowns need to go. Both clowns and angels are pretty aggressive and when they get larger it will be an issue for sure. I like the pistol and goby idea. You need to stick to small things. Urchin will be OK if you feed it. or how about a chocolate chip star fish? Also needs to be fed in a tank that size. Brittle star you will never see either. Most inverts do hide because they are susceptible to being eaten on reefs. Sexy shrimp are cool and out most of the time. Feather dusters are good or maybe a condylactis anemone.
