I know some go by the 1/2" per fish per gallon as a rule written in stone. My fish have been growing up togeather and all get along quite well with aggession very limited to none. For the most part the behavior is one of a tank of community fish. I have considered going to a six foot 180 gal tank to give my fish more room to grow although the six feet space I have to work with allows for a 210 gal or a 240 gal. I have always overfiltered, i.e. two Rena canisters, etc.
I like the idea of a 180 gal 24" high tank to get more light down to the corals as well as less work with my 10% weekly water changes, 4.5 four gallon buckets vs 6 four gallon buckets for a 240.
Some one recently told me I needed a 250 gallon tank.
What say you?
