what is it?

found this in my tank today.

looks like a snail of some sort, reef safe? about a 3/8" wide by 1" long.

Stomatella snail. Excellent part of the clean up crew. You can't have too many of these guys. Be careful though, they love to eat algae and clean the glass!!!
 
Yes, Stomatella. I did the response for you in morse code, but RC deletes my spaces so it's all connected dits and dahs lol.

I saw the initial reply in my email and was initially thinking ***, then I understood. I've forgotten all my Morse and had to run it through a translator :(
 
They reproduce in your system too which is nice. I think they are cute.
I took a piece of LR that was overgrown with caulerpa out of my system and I even went to the trouble to save the stomatella that was on there along with a filter clam and various other critters.
