I zoomed in just in a bad spot way it is facing and a phone camera looks like its growing from something red.

My guess is a vermeted snail...I've got one on the side of my frogspawn.. and all kinds of other places too

pull that frag out and scrape that red snail shell out of the coral. From what i've read, Vermetid snails are a pain.
I purchased a frag online one time, and I scraped off the vermetid snails, then a quick dip- haven't seen them since.

Or don't do anything drastic, and you'll be just fine. It is just a vermitid snail. The over reactions people have to normal life in a fish tank is crazy...

Agreed... I have hundreds of them in my tank... they have never bothered anything...just help clean the water IMHO
