What is it?

Hello all,

Recently I am beginning to notice a lot of small creatures in my tank that look like small octupus. Some sort of serpant star I assume. Have there legs sticking out of all the rockwork. They are black looking with whitish spots. I assume these are not bad for the tank, but just checking. Anyone know what they are. I must have over a hundred of them.

they are brittle stars-- usually only see their legs sticking out of the rocks. They are good to have.
