Good to hear. The Algone seems to be working? How is your skimmer looking...pulling out a lot of gross stuff?
I wouldn't worry about the diatoms. They'll probably subside once the nutrient load is reduced. Keep up with water changes and maybe reduce your lighting by a couple of hours each day. Should help a bit.
