arts007 New member Nov 8, 2007 #4 You say your alkalinity is at 5 is that dKH or meq/l If your calcium is at 450ppm your alk should be at 4.45 meq/l or dKH around 12.5 to be balanced, which is a bit high I would let the calcium drop to around 420 ppm with a balanced alk of 2.95 meq/l or 8.2 dKH
