What is safe using Interceptor?

Should I remove my urchin, sandsifting starfish, snails when dosing Interceptor? I know hermits, crabs and shrimp should be removed. Also, after 12hrs of dosing should I do a water change or just add carbon?

not sure about urchin and starfish. but yeah crabs and shrimp and snails should be removed. I would do a water change too. When i did it i did a 20% water change between 16-24 hours after adding the interceptor. Then do it a week later and once more a week after that and should be good. Worked great for me!! Ive never heard snails??? Or had a problem with them when dosed. shrimp and crabs are hit or mis, some people lose them some dont, I couldnt get my emerald crabs out and they made it thru.

that's great news! I'm dosing tomorrow and can't get my emerald crabs. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Did you dose for 12 hours and then add carbon?
