I am new to fragging anything, I have several groups of mushrooms that are really packed on a rock and I want to move a couple into another tank. Can I just cut them off and glue them to the rock in the other tank? Also I have heard that if you cut a mushroom off a rock that the foot that is left will turn into another mushroom. Is this true?
What is the best way to frag mushrooms?

NO! NEVER GLUE THEM!! What you should do is if possible, remove the rock from the tank and get a razor blade and cut them at the base. Or you cant make "pizzas" out of them. by slicing across the mouth. Once you cut them place them in your tank to settle

slice the top off, the foot will grow into a new shroom. Put the top in a cup with some LR rubble and cover it with some mesh something, and put it in your tank for a few days, maybe a week. Once it attaches, glue the rock where ever you want. If you want more than two shrooms, take the top, cut it, making sure each piece gets piece of the mouth. Try not to cut them too small. If its the first time you're doing it, I'd say just cut it in half once. Dip in lugols, and do the cup thing with the pieces.
